How reliable are the tests?

Taking a sample is very easy. With our interactive guide and test kit, you have everything you need to collect a sample from home. If you have any problems, our support team is ready to guide you through the process.

How to take a sample?

After your samples have arrived at our laboratory, you will receive your results within 48 hours at the latest. From ordering to receiving the results, the entire process usually takes a total of 4 working days.

How quickly will i receive my result?

Your data is stored on servers in Germany and the highest encryption standards are used to protect your data.

How are my anonymity and data protected?


The hormone values should be taken on the 2nd-5th day of the cycle, as the hormone levels, especially of FSH, LH and oestradiol, are most stable in this early phase of the cycle. This enables an accurate assessment of the hormone status and provides meaningful results about the hormonal situation before the cycle enters the next phase.
If you no longer have periods or it has been >3 months since your last period or you are using hormone replacement therapy (HRT), you can carry out the test at any time.




You can carry out the test on any day of your cycle or without a cycle.




This test is best carried out on the 6th-7th day after ovulation. You have the following options:
Use of an ovulation test (LH test): Blood sample 6-7 days after the positive test
Use of a Natural Family Planning (NFP) method: Blood sample 6-7 days after the day of the 1st higher temperature measurement.
Nothing of the sort: Blood collection on the 20th-21st day of the cycle




The AMH value should ideally be determined in the first cycle phase, i.e. between the 1st and 12th day of the cycle. In principle, however, you can take the blood sample at any time. Please note the cycle day on the sample. If you no longer have a period or your last period was >3 months ago, you can take the test at any time.




Important note: The 1st day of your cycle is the first day of your period. If you notice premenstrual spotting (“pre-lubrication”), this does not count as the start of bleeding. This is determined with the onset of heavy menstrual bleeding.

On which cycle day do I take the sample?

It is possible to carry out a hormone test in the blood while taking hormonal contraceptives, but the results may be falsified. Hormonal contraceptives influence the natural hormone balance, so the test may not reflect the actual hormone status. Nevertheless, the results can be helpful to better classify symptoms.

Can I also take the test if I am using hormonal contraceptives?

Looking at hormone values alone and without context to your individual situation is usually not helpful. It makes sense to discuss deviating values with your doctor. Many other aspects need to be taken into account for a final assessment, e.g: When in the cycle was the blood sample taken? How old are you? Are there any symptoms or complaints? Etc. This allows for a better interpretation and, as a result, tailor-made recommendations for action can be developed.

One or more values are low or high. What do I do now?

Vitamin D, often referred to as the “sunshine vitamin”, plays a central role in the human body and is crucial for a variety of physiological processes.
The primary function of vitamin D is to regulate the calcium and phosphate balance in the body, which in turn is crucial for bone and tooth health. Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium in the intestine and supports its incorporation into the bone structure. In addition, vitamin D plays a role in modulating the immune system, cell division, muscle health and is associated with various other health benefits. There is increasing evidence that vitamin D may also have an impact on the prevention of chronic diseases.




Excessive vitamin D levels can lead to hypercalcemia, which is an elevated level of calcium in the blood. This causes symptoms such as nausea, tiredness, weakness, constipation and headaches. In the long term, kidney problems (e.g. kidney stones) can occur as the body finds it difficult to break down the excess calcium. Cardiac arrhythmia and bone pain can also be the result, as the calcium balance in the body is disturbed.



A lack of vitamin D can lead to significant health problems. In regions with little sunshine or insufficient sun exposure, especially in the winter months, vitamin D deficiency can occur. Risk groups for vitamin D deficiency are people with dark skin, older adults, people with limited sun exposure, people with certain gastrointestinal diseases and people who follow a vegan diet.
From a level < 30 ng/ml, a suboptimal vitamin D supply is generally assumed.

Vitamin D

Vitamin B12 is essential for our body to stay fit and healthy. It plays a central role in the formation of red blood cells, supports nerve function and is important for energy metabolism. Without sufficient vitamin B12, our body cannot optimally convert nutrients from food into energy, which can lead to tiredness and fatigue.




If vitamin B12 levels are too high, this is often caused by dietary supplements. In most cases, this has no direct health consequences, as excess B12 is normally excreted in the urine. However, a very high level could indicate certain liver diseases or disorders of kidney function.




If vitamin B12 levels are too low, this can lead to anemia (anaemia), weakness, memory problems or even nerve damage. Symptoms of a deficiency often include tiredness, difficulty concentrating and tingling in the hands and feet. A long-term deficiency can cause serious health problems and should definitely be treated.

Vitamin B12

Folic acid (also known as vitamin B9) is crucial for many processes in our body to stay fit and healthy. It plays a central role in cell division and is particularly important for the formation of new cells, including red blood cells. Folic acid supports DNA synthesis and is essential for a functioning nervous system.




When folic acid levels are too high, usually caused by excessive supplement intake, this can in rare cases mask neurological problems caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency. In normal amounts, folic acid is essential for cell health and may even be protective, but in very high doses it is suspected of promoting the growth of existing cancer cells.




If folic acid levels are too low, this can lead to anemia, exhaustion, headaches and poor concentration. A lack of folic acid during pregnancy can also lead to serious malformations in the unborn child, such as neural tube defects. The immune system can also be weakened, which increases susceptibility to illness.

Folic acid

Ferritin is a protein that serves as a storage form of iron in the body and helps provide this vital mineral for red blood cell formation, oxygen transport and support of many enzyme functions. Adequate ferritin levels are crucial to avoid low energy, weakness and fatigue as iron is needed for the production of hemoglobin. It ensures that the body remains fit and that the cells are optimally supplied with oxygen.




If the ferritin level is too high, this can indicate diseases such as haemochromatosis, in which the body absorbs and stores too much iron. A high ferritin level can also be caused by chronic inflammation, liver disease or certain cancers, as ferritin is an acute phase protein that rises during inflammatory reactions.




A low ferritin level is usually an indication of iron deficiency, which leads to the most common form of anemia, iron deficiency anemia. This can lead to symptoms such as tiredness, paleness, dizziness and a weakened immune system. A low ferritin level often occurs with heavy blood loss (e.g. due to heavy menstrual bleeding), malnutrition or diseases of the gastrointestinal tract that impair iron absorption.

Thyroid-stimulating hormone, often abbreviated as TSH, is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland, a small gland in the brain. It plays a crucial role in the regulation of thyroid function. The main function of TSH is to control the production and release of thyroid hormones. Thyroid hormones, particularly thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), influence various aspects of metabolism, energy production and the body's heat balance.
Measuring the TSH level in the blood is an important diagnostic test to detect possible thyroid dysfunction. An elevated TSH level paired with low thyroid hormone levels may indicate hypothyroidism, while a low TSH level may indicate hyperthyroidism.




An increase in TSH levels may indicate that the thyroid gland is not producing enough hormones (hypothyroidism).




A drop in the TSH level may indicate that the thyroid gland is producing too much thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism).
